Foreign Bodies Audition

"hold yourself a responsibility
for higher standard than anybody else
Expect that of you and
NEVER EXCUSE YOURSELF
"

I swear upon myself that i've did my best and did all i could to really help the juniors that actually do have the gut to come down for the audition. I did make a promise to myself before the event started, that even though anything happen or cocked-up, i will stand up and do what i know i should do.

To have a ratio of 1:20 during audition was definitely a do-able thing for such 1st time event. Still, it will be better if we all, colleagues could just give a lil helping hand to finish and achieve something even better. Thank you for those who helped me. Thank you.

Having to see people practicing hard on the choreo that i taught though i know it seemed difficult for them, to be able to see them trying out, sweating out, catching their wandering breaths, made me think and feel about the time when i went to FB audition a year ago. I wasn't satisfied when the seniors taught me the choreo, and i guess, the details weren't shown to all of us clearly though we did got the step and the steps was taught too rushing-ly. We didn't get as much chance to look at ourselves in the mirror and dance endlessly to the songs. Thou things happened too fast, i told myself that i won't give up since i have already stepped onto the dance floor and practice hard enough. It would be very demoralizing if i couldn't get what i want after i tried hard and what's more, not giving up.

That's what i think how the juniors that i'm teaching FELT. As i teach them the choreo, there were no sound and all eyes were really attentive looking at my movements. I thank you all for that. Though i make mistakes about the details, i apologised and yeap, They DID the RIGHT things then. They were stressed out with the choreo cause they weren't able to remember it. Talking a lil on Fun or Drills. Which one is really more impt in this audition? Fun or Drills? I say Drills, You say Fun, What say THEM. Given a time limit of about 45 min to remember choreo, i guess, fun would only be a side thing that will keep them entertained and really feel like dancing. Let's look at the criteria, what are we looking for? S-ho, A-tt, M-us, O-ri. Do you think that without drills and only fun, will give them the small points to even have a slight chance to be in fb? No. Fun, yeap, you need that in this audition. You think would it be fun to be looking at the Namelist of the result, knowing that you name is not typed on the paper. Disappointment would definite come about. Motivating them plays an impt role too and i really hope they were motivated by what i said. Still, to give the juniors to pass the audi, seniors must give 70% to them. The rest is up to them. Remember, we were fresh from oven- non-dancer and during our audition, OUR SENIORS help us alot that we are able to make it. They helped us in acheiving our dreams, why not WE try to achieve the juniors dreams too? When they joined us, FUN will be endless. Think about it.

And as a senior, who wants to see EVERY of her group junior to do well, i drilled them and go through the routines again and again. I guess, i didn't create kind of a fun nor short entertainment. But thank you cause i really appreciate the SMALL THANKS said by them and THANK YOU cause You gals offered a HUG to me. Thank you. =) I was really happy and sorry to say this but i really do feel like hugging HUDA and RAFEE cause when i spotted the ppl who was under my teaching, i went to cheer for them in the room and Rafee goes like 'these groups were the few best group that i saw for audition' and Huda was giving me a thumbs up , raise eyebrow a not bad sign. When i saw those under me went to audition room and did well , i felt thou i've achieved a small acheivement.

Thou people could see the end product, do you know that i feel humiliated as i felt (though its obvious) indirectly being spotted as 'ur-details-are all-wrong-lah instructor'?. Learn and went through details many times with ICs and got it wrong? was even ask, 'tell me whose the choreography- ask her, not ICs'. *speechless* To the hell with it. You don't spot people by telling the wrong details and pass on to the others though i know i might not be as experience as few of them. And you don't overtake someone, spout her not so detailed loudly that it left me in daze giving a confused look to the juniors. I did recover from the sudden daze and work on it.
It takes great effort to do something. I swear i'm holding on just now.

Tomorrow. Let's do our best. Don't give up.
It take great courage to lead.
If you have what it takes to lead, go ahead.

Rest my case.
